Volunteers required
Are you able to spare a couple of hours to keep the pitches lined? We need to spread the load, especially with our hard working chairman now on crutches and daylight hours particularly short. The pitches need marking pretty much every week, each one taking approximately 2 hours.
If you are able to come down and help during week days or Sat mornings please let Richard Elliot know on 07899 002952
Veterans Team
After hearing about the formation of a possible veterans league, Dave Allcock & Gareth Lloyd have taken it upon themselves to enter a team from Winnington Park for next season 2009/2010.
As it is still 'early doors' they are hoping to arrange a couple of games for this season and need to know what players are interested, for the odd occasional game or to play all 14 games.
Please contact Dave Allcock via e-mail or call him on 07793 248310 / 01606 48802, or Gareth Lloyd on 07764 250673.

Date set for 2009 Ball
The date has been set for Winnington Parks Rugby Ball of 2009, which will be Saturday 9th May.
More than 400 people enjoyed the spectactularly succesful Centenary ball this year and Honorary life Vice President Dave Rees has agreed to Chair the committee for the next ball once again.
The inaugural meeting has taken place and identified that there are gaps in the organisation which need to be filled........ with volunteers!
Dave will be approaching people involved last year and knew people already identified to have the skills and drive to help but also want people to come forward and offer their services for the many jobs that will help things run smoothly. PLEASE let Dave know if you are willing to help in any way, from the start or just in the weeks before or even on the day/night/day after, when the proverbial chocolate mousse hits the air propulsion circulation device!
After selling out so quickly last year, 40 tables of 10 sold in a month, Dave Rees is keen to take early early orders, though no tables will be booked until before Christmas. To register your interest for a table, please let Dave know by phone or e-mail.

The 100 club began last season with the aim of raising funds for YOUR rugby club, one of the plans being a viewing balcony to be accessed via the main room through double doors and overlooking the 1st & 2nd team pitches. Although we have fallen just short of the full cost of this we have decided to continue with the 100 club for this season also, with most of the members continuing their support. If you wish to be involved and have a chance of winning the cash prizes(next draw in December), its not to late, see John Pickering or Dave Rees for a form.
Membership is £10 per calendar month, payable by standing order or cheque for your convenience. Print your own form
